The City Clerk’s Office serves as the official custodian of the city’s records. It is charged with the recording and management of documents relating to the official actions of the City of Henderson, including minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, leases, deeds, and more.
Responsibilities and Duties
Prepares and maintains minutes of each Board of Commissioners meeting
Maintains the Code of Ordinances as passed by the Board of Commissioners
Issues certified copies of official records
Serves as secretary to the City Employee Pension Fund Board, a member of the Disabled Parking Committee, and on the Indigent Burial Committee
Maintains membership records of the various boards and commissions appointed by the Board of Commissioners
Processes solicitation permits, both charitable and for-profit, as well as Bucket Shake permits
