All accessory structures require a permit to approve the location of the structure (i.e. property line setbacks, setbacks from other structures, easements, etc.). When a violation notice is sent, the property owner is given a time frame in which to comply with the corrective action listed. If you have received a notice and are unable to make the corrections within the time allowed, you must call Code Enforcement and speak directly to the inspector that issued the violation. Yard sale signs can only be placed at the location of the sale. Each residential address may have up to four signs, each sign up to 6 square feet. All signs must be placed at least 10 feet from the street. You may not place yard sale signs on utility poles, fences, or in the city’s right-of-ways.Code Enforcement

The City of Henderson has contracted with two Kentucky Certified Electrical Inspectors that issue the electrical permit, Mike Villines (270)823-2111 and Damion Young (270)952-2330. Please call or text one of these inspectors to apply for your electrical permit. You will need to provide the Name and Address of the Customer, Name of the Electrical Company, Contact Name, CE and ME License numbers and the Contractors Phone Number.

The property owner must then receive legal notification of the violation and be given a reasonable amount of time to comply with the corrective action.
