The City of Henderson Human Resources Department is responsible for carrying out all the activities essential to the effective administration of the city's personnel functions. These activities include:
Maintain centralized personnel and medical records
Assist departments in the areas of recruitment, selection, promotion, retention, and training of employees
Administer all non-health related benefits, including compensation packages
Administer the city health benefits, including Henderson Water Utility and Henderson Municipal Power and Light
Ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal guidelines related to employment and employment safety
Administer the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Maintain all applicable documentation required by OSHA
Investigate all accidents and injuries
Coordinate citywide training
Administer all the city’s workers' compensation claims and interact with the workers' compensation carrier
